Vision of Eden

It is my firm conviction, that the principle focus behind fruitarianism should be the understanding of the uniqueness of fruit as a food choice. Unlike all other foods, fruit is the one true food that karmically speaking is clearly "given" freely. Fruit is the only food which ultimately has the potential to be truly compatible with the immortal words of "the Beatles", love is all you need. All other foods require the death or partial destruction and injury toward a life form. Whether it be through the cold hard steel of a knife blade to a pig's throat, the imprisonment and suffering of animals kept for no other purpose than human gluttony, the untimely assassination of wild free roaming animals, the constant ploughing of fields for mono cereal crops destroying the lives and habitats of countless small wildlife. Even the consumption of seeds and nuts often prevents the seed from any chance of germination and a life of it's own, and the uprooting of carrots, lettuce and similar either completely terminate the life of a plant, or destroy a good part of it. All these actions incur karmic debt, which, whether we like it or not, are aware of it or not, will be paid off in kind.

It is unrealistic to think that fruitarianism proposes an immediate total eradication of such needless harm and death, but I do see it as a method to greatly minimize such, and over time as the consciousness of humankind expands toward its spiritual potential, I do not believe that such a goal is at all unrealistic.

My vision is to see the whole world embrace this concept. I believe that once humankind has inevitably done so, other species (YES!) will naturally follow suit.. So instead of looking up to other species as examples as to how we should eat and live (Sadly most often the case today), other species will be guided and influenced by us, and ultimately the chaotic bloody balance of nature as it currently exists, will evolve into a harmonious peaceful balance where all species will be able to live their lives without fear of this insane dog eat dog, kill or be killed competitive ruthless insanity..  survival of the fittest will be replaced by mutual respect and cooperation. I by no means propose to have all the answers, far from it, but I do trust that there are no problems without solutions and that as we continue to evolve, the path will become ever clearer. Ultimately fruitarianism proposes a "Live and let live" solution.

What I don't believe should be part of fruitarianism, is calorie counting, focusing on carbohydrates, electrolytes, minerals, vitamins etc etc.. I think these factors ultimately stem from "FEAR", and a clear lack of trust and faith in fruit. Most people are truly hoodwinked into following this pseudoscience side of eating, and although they themselves have no real idea what proteins or calories really are, they still wield the terms as if they were personally very familiar with them. Lying to themselves and others in doing so.

Fruitarianism is about letting go of such fears, trusting in the goodness of fruit, living as simply as one can, having faith, (there's always room for improvement!) eating when hungry, drinking when thirsty, resting and sleeping when tired. It is not about following fashion based on greed and consumerism, but about walking barefoot to regain contact with the earth, being naked, weather permitting, whenever one can do so without victimization, letting ones hair and beard, when applicable, grow naturally, not defacing ones body with tattoos, piercing, make up and chemical cleaners, certainly not undergoing pointless surgery. Rather it concerns the understanding that the medical industry is a multi billion dollar business that ultimately does NOT have our best interests at heart. Understanding that the body will heal itself from pretty much anything if we follow the rules of simplicity and fruit eating.

I believe it is also about getting closer to nature, about getting our hands covered in soil as we plant and care for new fruit trees. Not competitiveness, not Alpha-male centred and dominated society, but mutual support and understanding of one another, and using our energy toward the ultimate vision of Eden and personal spiritual growth.

Fruit has not only the ability to cleanse us both internally physically and mentally, but also applied externally is great for washing our bodies, as well as making us more spiritually aware.

As always, I feel I have barely scratched the surface, and the final peace and tranquillity that will reign will be beyond all our expectations.

peace,
mango.

  1. Ultimately fruit is a peace revolution this world. The whole fruitarian philosophy is the kindest, sweetest most delightful lifestyle and I believe too, that if everyone in the world could turn to a fruitarian lifestyle there would not only be peace and harmony on earth but paradise.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. "and although they themselves have no real idea what proteins or calories really are, they still brand the terms as if they were personally very familiar with them. Lying to themselves and others in doing so."

I agree with this so much. It's the same when they talk about "antioxidants". What is an antioxidant? What does it MEAN? It is total pseudoscientific nonsense. The only possible use for such concepts might be if we found a human-stored fruit had only half the antioxidants left or something, that might be a giveaway. The rest is such idiot nonsense when we have near PERFECT sensors ourselves for whatever food we need to eat. The more we like eating a food, the better it is for us, so long as it is in its perfectly natural state. Any other idea is else is crazy, ridiculous nonsense.

Now they say they are genetically engineering foods and saying they are more healthy because they're "more nutritious". It doesn't even make sense. You can have too much or too little B vitamins, or they don't come in the right quantaties or they aren't meant to be intaken like that etc.

But sometimes even if there's just one original lie, it can lead to another lie and another lie and another lie following on by the same logic... until we have this crazy situation where they conclude GM foods can be "more nutritious". So even when the original lies are gone, it's like they have morphed into something totally different, and are propagated along by lie-induced instincts and lie-induced passions and lie-induced beliefs.

  4. Dear Mango,

Thank you very much for sharing your fruitarian vision. You touched me deeply. I find your message very inspiring and encouraging too. Sometimes we fear or doubt, and you are right, following our dream is the way to live.

  5. Everything you say rings true in my soul! I am currently trying to get the seeds and nuts out of my otherwise fruit and greens diet.
    In time, it will happen.

    Fruit is THE righteous food.

  6. Wow, mango, this post is just amazing!
I ate as a fruitarian for about 6 months last year, and then digressed back to raw veganism when winter came round, but I've grown discontent with it. I feel sick, when I eat many nuts and vegetables, so I have been thinking about switching back to a completely fruit-based diet again for a while now - and reading this post just convinced me!
I love reading your blog, by the way! I think you have a really beautiful and optimistic outlook on life, and your blog is really what inspired me to be fruitarian for the time I was last year, and now it's pushed me to try again!
    Thank you so much!

  7. Mr. Zed makes an interesting point on GM. Also, scarily enough, even for those of you who DO avoid GM produce directly, it may not be easier in the future, as those GM crops will naturally cross-pollinate (?) with other plants, until the whole world will have human-produced genetically modified properties. This could wreak havoc on all forms of wildlife and lead to the end of life on earth as we know it.

  9. You are 100% right cyberryan26. But what are we going to do? I don't know anything that could be more important than the integrity of the world food supply, of fruit itself! I'm sorry, but it won't be fruit anymore if this continues. Fruit is not immortal, it can be destroyed. I don't know what to do. Some day soon, I need to take a long time out, and spend the entire day just relaxing and thinking sombrely about what some of the things I can do to solve this problem are.

The people who talk about "substantial equivalence" are so soooooooo stupid. They are soooooooo stupid, really they are. They don't believe in evolution, they don't believe in patterns in life-forms... if they did they would realize that you can't just say something is "substantially equivalent" after doing some tests and make out like it's the same thing!!!! They are idiots, they are destroying food permanently. What a curse these people are. I wish a virus did get out that destroyed all humans, but just humans. Then at least maybe life like ours would have a chance to carry on and survive through our other amazing relatives of the great apes.

  10. I like the part where you say that fruit is about letting go of all those fears that is associated with most food in this day, like the calories, fat, etc. It's so strange how people think fruitarians have too many restrictions, but yet, they actually have so much freedom to do what one feels like and pleases to do. Eating as much fruit, and being okay with it,not just okay with it but actually feeling nice about it. But if fruit can be so magical and beautiful in this way, why do you strive for breatharianism?

  11. But if fruit can be so magical and beautiful in this way, why do you strive for breatharianism?

because there is no final goal. I mean. the object is the path itself. And although fruitarianism is where I am at, there is still room for improvement on many aspects. mentally, physically and spiritually. Fruit brings with it many unknown and unimagined freedoms, the concept of breatharianism even more. If I were to ever reach such a stage, I would be sure to sing it's praises too, and encourage people forward.

However, much as I am a believer, I am also a realist, and accept that breatharianism may not be attainable for me during this life span. Indeed. I have yet to confirm it's viability at all. We are all free to choose our beliefs=, and my be as nonsense as the calorie obsessed carb eaters.

    peace,
    mango
