Fun Stuff - 4 - Free Trip to Mars..

Yeah, as if that's the place I'd rather be living..

Much as though I sometimes think "Stop the planet, I want to get off", Mars isn't exactly the kind of alternative place I'm envisioning.. So this post isn't really about going to Mars, or even leaving Earth - I figure I'll be here for a while yet..

No, it's just to let you know that if you were the slightest bit interested, Nasa will include your name on a microchip on the Mars Science Laboratory rover heading to Mars in 2011..

You can also see a world map, of others that are participating.. I signed up Kveta too.. just for the fun of it.. (she's still travelling in the Czech Republic). Maybe the Martians will spare us come the day of the revolution..

Actually, I shudder to think of the environmental resources used in powering whatever rocket NASA conjures up that heads to Mars.. Do I really want to be even a microchipical part of that? .. Too late now though, as I already have the certificates.. Doh!

Fun Stuff - 3 - That guy who dances on the internet.

I just stumbled onto the following youtube video while perusing though some raw fruit blogs, (More specifically, Nature's Fast Food at the time - (owner shortly to be interviewed here!)).

You may or mayn't have heard of this guy before, he's called Matt and is perhaps better known as "that guy who dances on the internet"..

Now, I'm not writing about this guy because he's fruitarian, more likely, like the masses, he eats a conventional diet and has probably never even heard of the idea of a raw fruit one, however, that certainly doesn't prevent him carrying a certain joyous charm for what he does do..

I had to smile throughout the video, watching him do his "2 left feet" dance in all those different place, with all those different people..

And then when I discovered, through reading his website (which you can find here: Where the Hell is Matt?), how it all started for him, and how the universe clearly seems to be sponsoring him in his endevours, I realised he must certainly be tapping in to something positive..

Made me want to get out there and dance with him... Well, maybe not to be doing the same thing as he does, but to be doing something that's, well, "out there".. making more videos, climbing more fruit trees, eating more durian (yum!!)

A shining inspirational example of what life can be.. Joy in action.. (Thank's Matt!)..

Fun Stuff - 1 - Find an Anagram of your name.

For some people, finding the anagram of names is rather like numerology or astrology is for others..

Just before I left the UK in November 2006, my good friend and fellow fruitarian, Jamshed, was telling me about how he put his name and fruitbat Anne's name through some anagram engine to find the anagram of both their names..

I don't recall what the results were, but do recall that they sounded pretty good. (I think Anne's was something about Lion bones? Anne?)

So I decided to find out what mine was..

An anagram of my birthname is:

Daze, or up and walk.. Which sounded pretty symbolic to me, as it's like I have the choice to either laze around and procrastinate, or up and do something.. - All too often I forget, and live in a daze instead of the active blur that would benefitme.. Let my anagram be an ever present constant reminder to me! Another anagram of my birth name (no prizes for guessing it!) is Poland daze, UK raw.. Which  is also somehow vaguely meaningful..

But nowadays I call myself Mango the Fruitarian, and an anagram of that?

I'm the fair Orangutan!

Pretty neet huh! ................ Other anagrams of it are:

The anagram genius website seems to be the most intuitive and offers anagrams slightly more meaningful grammatically..
