Mystery Fruit - 5

OK.. let's see how many of you recognise this one:





It's a pretty rare fruit not seen much, if at all, outside of the tropics..

An exceptionally strong smell, and a delightfully moreish taste..

I have to say, I first tasted this fruit about 12 years ago, and was instantly hooked on it..

Unfortunately they are a rare breed, and I only got to sample them a couple of times back then.. however, fortunately, I am now in a situation with a relative abundance of them, and they are most surely one of my current favourite fruits.. probably among my top 5, along with durian, chempadek, white sapote and abiu.. but i'm sure if i think about it, i've probably got way more than 5 fruits in my top 5..

the mind boggles..

Anyhows, any guesses what it's called?

It's being a while since my last mystery fruit, the first 2 were probably too easy..

So, I'm hoping this one might be more of a challenge for you..



I won't give you any clues..

Mystery Fruit - 2

Well.. So far there are no comments guessing the name of the mystery fruit number 1.. So that mystery is still open to be guessed at!!

Well.. this one is probably even more bizarre..  It is a fruit, but not actually edible.. - At least not in it's raw ripe fresh state - At least not by humans.. (Although I have seen a documentry showing giraffe picking them from the trees and just chew chew chewing on them..  - Fascinating viewing!!)

They're rather hard and don't really look too appealing to me, but they certainly do look interesting!!

Anyone care to hazard a guess what they are??

If no one guesses correctly, Ill post the answer later.. but not until you've had a chance to think about it.. (same goes for the first one).

Mystery fruit - 1

Hi all..

A little puzzle for you today..

This was some free food we picked straight from the trees while travelling north in NSW..

anybody care to guess what it is?
