I think it was in the first half of the 1990s that I met a vegan woman called Karen Williams, living in northern France, who was regularly fasting once a week. I think Thursdays, although it may well have been Fridays..
Anyhow, I pondered on it for a while, until deciding that it was something that I wanted to try out for myself..
So I did.. although many of my first attempts met with little success, as I regularly would find myself mid afternoon feeling so hungry and tempted so much by food that I chose to break fast and eat as normal...
Eventually though, I sort of broke into the rhythm of it, and my weekly fast became a regular habit that I've been especially consistent with during the last 5 or 6 years..
Now I look forward to fasting each week, and today is my none food day again today.
I strongly believe it has great benefits for the body.. giving it a welcome break from that constant onslaught of digestion and assimilation it otherwise must contend with daily.
Good stuff.

Hi Suvine,
no need for fear! Fasting, even if only for the day, is pretty much always a positive thing. And generally beneficial.
I'm fully in to juice feasting too though!
